Where this actually stands
Nothing on this page is a promise about a date. Here is the honest state of it, drawn the way a plan set is drawn: a solid line is something that exists, a dashed line is something we are raising money for.
AnchorD Enterprises LLC
A working contact center and marketing agency. It employs people today, and its profit is what funds the foundation. Hiring it is a way of paying for this.
The first four to six units
Phase one of the Safe Campus: a rehab of an existing building. Not bought, not built. This is what current fundraising is for.
Childcare, grocery, training floor
The rest of the Safe Campus. Designed, costed, unbuilt. We are not taking residents and will not say otherwise.
What we can do today: point you to resources in your state, read what you send us, and answer. What we cannot do today: house you, employ you through the foundation, or move quickly. We would rather tell you that now than waste a week of yours.
Why a job and a lease, and not a bed
Shelters are necessary and they are full. But a shelter bed has an end date, and on the day it ends a woman with no income, no rental history, and damaged credit is choosing between him and the street. Most people who study this describe the same trap.
A job, not a referral
Employment starts immediately at AnchorD Enterprises. A paycheck changes what is possible in a way that a phone number does not.
An address, and the pets come
A subsidized unit on the Safe Campus. Pets are part of the plan rather than an exception — people stay for an animal they cannot place.
Credit, savings, Career Pathways
50/30/20 budgeting, credit built rather than repaired, and training toward advanced manufacturing or another paying trade.
Every job on the Safe Campus
Childcare, the grocery, marketing, retail. Whatever she does next, she leaves with a resume that is not blank.
