Sheet F-02 · Privacy & safety
What happens to what you tell us.
Written to be read by someone deciding whether it is safe to type, not by a compliance officer.
Operating nowThe short version
- No analytics on this site. No tracking pixels. No advertising tags. No third-party scripts other than the font files.
- Forms are sent by POST, so nothing you type appears in the address bar, in your history, or in a referrer.
- Submissions are stored in AnchorD's own Cloudflare account, not with a form vendor.
- Email alerts to staff say only that something arrived and give a reference number. What you wrote is not emailed anywhere.
- We do not sell, trade, or share your information. We do not add you to a mailing list.
What we keep, and for how long
- Help requests — kept while we are working on them, then deleted at 90 days unless you have asked us to keep the file open. What remains after that is a de-identified count: one state, one month. Nothing else.
- Offers of help — kept while the listing is active.
- Stories — kept until you withdraw them. Withdrawal deletes the record, not just the published page.
The map
The unmet-need layer shows ranges, never counts. States with fewer than five requests show nothing. Everything runs on a thirty-day delay. No city, no date, no age, no detail, ever. The reason is simple: if the map could show that one woman in a small county asked for help last Tuesday, the map would be a tool for finding her.
The limits, stated plainly
We are not a lawyer, a doctor, or a licensed counselor, and this is not a confidential privileged channel. Two things can override our intention to keep what you send private:
- A court order. Records can be subpoenaed, including in a custody case. This is the single most important reason to write only what you would be willing to have read out.
- Mandatory reporting. If what you tell us indicates a child or a vulnerable adult is being abused, we may be legally required to report it.
When AnchorD takes federal victim-services funding, stricter confidentiality rules will apply and this page will be rewritten to match. We are building toward that standard now.
Delete what you sent
Email melissa@getanchord.com with your reference number and the word delete. You do not have to explain. If you lost the reference, tell us roughly when you wrote and we will find it.
Covering your tracks
The Leave now button sends you to a weather site and replaces the current page in your history. It cannot remove pages you visited before that. Private or incognito browsing helps for the future, not the past. If he has installed something on the device, none of this helps — use a different device.
